The paintings of watercolor artist Michal Madison are a vulnerable look into the depths of her soul. Transparent. Raw. Passionate. These are often the same intense emotions that captivate the viewer. Madison enjoys the vibrantly luminous hues and wildly spontaneous nature of watercolor. The brilliant whites in her paintings remain as untouched paper. "For me," she says, "the untouched paper is like the purity in each of us, no amount of white paint can create that kind of brilliance." Madison never attended art school.
